What to look at before an empty drum or IBC goes back into service.

Paperwork and marking
- UN marking is present, legible and matches the product's packing group and density.
- Manufacture or last test date is within the period your rules allow.
- Old hazard labels are removed or fully covered.
Body and closures
- No dents at chimes or seams, no bulging, no corrosion through the coating.
- Bungs, lids, gaskets and valves are present, seated and undamaged.
- IBC cage, pallet base and bottle show no cracks, kinks or UV chalking.
Cleanliness
- Interior is clean, dry and free of residue and odour from the previous product.
- Liner or coating is compatible with the next product.
- Rejected units are tagged and kept apart from accepted stock.
